REGIONAL BROADBAND DEPLOYMENT

Most urban areas in Muskoka have reasonably good access to high-speed internet these days, but many areas don't pass the broadband test.  However, in our rural areas due to the geographic, demographic, and economic nature of deploying high-speed internet, there are still many businesses and organizations that don't have it.  Even though demand for broadband continues to grow there are many businesses and residents who still are without access.  More and more broadband is an essential business requirement for all sectors of Muskoka in addition to the cottage country industry.

That is why MCN has been working to improve broadband infrastructure access in unserved areas.  Below is a summary of what we have achieved  recently. Also, you can refer to our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section for more information.  MCN is working in the Town of Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, Huntsville, as well at the Townships of Lake of Bays and Georgian Bay.
